Data we collect

• Bookings: first name, last name, e-mail, phone, country, expected arrival time, special requests, stay dates, number of guests, chosen accommodation, website language and the date you accepted the terms.
• Deposit: the mobile money number used, the chosen operator, the amount, and the transaction references and status. Your PIN is never requested or stored.
• Contact form: name, e-mail, phone, subject, message and, for a seminar or an event, preferred dates and number of participants.
• Security: the IP address is stored with each booking. It is also used, temporarily, to limit the number of submissions from a single connection.

Why we use it

This data is used to process your booking and deposit, send you confirmation e-mails, prepare your arrival, answer your messages, prevent fraud and abuse, and meet the establishment’s accounting obligations. It is never sold or used for advertising.

Who receives it

• the hotel team in charge of bookings and guest arrivals;
• the mobile money operator you choose (MVola or Airtel Money), which receives your number and the deposit amount to process the payment;
• the hotel’s management software, where your booking may be recorded;
• the technical providers that host the website and deliver its e-mails, on the hotel’s behalf.

How long we keep it

Bookings and their transactions are kept for the duration of your stay, then for as long as accounting and tax obligations require. Messages sent through the contact form are kept for no more than 3 years after our last exchange.

Cookies

This website uses no advertising cookies, no audience measurement tools and no social media trackers. It only sets technical cookies: form security, your chosen language, confirmation messages and, for hotel staff, signing in to the administration area.

Security

Exchanges with the website are encrypted (HTTPS). Access to the data is restricted to authorised hotel staff.

Your rights

You can ask to see your data, have it corrected or deleted, or object to its use, unless we are required to keep it. Write to riaranohotel@yahoo.com and, where relevant, quote your booking reference.
